Let’s talk about fitness and workouts today! Because it is the time of the year
again where most of us women start to work out again and try to loose some weight we gained during Christmas. Well, so do I. I started about 3 weeks ago with running plus some ab exercises at home. Now that we have snow in Berlin, I prefer doing my workout at home, every second or third day. And as soon as I post a picture on Instagram of me doing sports (not very often
) many of my followers send me messages and ask me about my workout routine. So I thought it would be cool to share with you my favorite workouts and also it is something totally different I never had on the blog before…
Pilates Magic Circle – This is my favorite piece of sports equipment and by far my favorite workout! The Magic Circle (or Fitness Circle) is an flexible ring with soft pads on the sides. It is perfect for toning the arms, chest, hips and thighs. All in all it works every muscle group!
I always use it for my arms, my chest, legs and belly. But what hat I love most about it is that I can easily work on my belly abs, because I can’t do normal sit-ups. The following two pictures show you how I work on my belly and thighs abs: Lie down on your back and place the circle between your legs right above your ankles. Place your legs straight up in a 90-degree angle. Bring your hands behind your head and gently lift your head, neck and shoulders off the floor, looking toward your belly button.
Start: Inhale and lower your legs down toward the ground until you reach a 45-degree angle. Then exhale, and bring your legs back up to a 90-degree angle, drawing in your abs. Repeat as often as you can 🙂
– One of the best exercises you can do easily at home are squats!! Up and down, up and down and you’ll get a bootylicious butt very soon 🙂 Check out some videos on Youtube to see how to do them properly!
This is my favorite outfit for my home workouts! And in summer time when running outside I wear this with a t-shirt..
– My sister has one and after trying it at her place, my boyfriend and I decided to get one too. This thing is soo cool and I love how it works my muscles in my arms, belly, butt and legs at the same time! I can’t do many of them in a row, so I do some little breaks whenever I feel like I need them 😀 But I’m sure that soon I will get better and better.
– This is my very simple running outfit! Long long time ago I used to jog everyday with my sister. But then I started to become lazy when it came to sports. Mostly in summer time (before holidays at a beach.. hehe
), when I am really motivated I really love to jog! Just like three weeks ago, when I decided to start again. 30-45 minutes, good music in my ears and then after a long shower you will just feel great, plus you’ve burned some damn calories! Unfortunately now it’s too cold outside with too much snow, so I don’t do it at the moment! I will start again as soon as possible and then hopefully constantly with about 2-3 times a week?! In the meantime I have enough home workouts to do 🙂
Now let’s talk about the clothes! When jogging I like to wear running tights or leggings. You can find them at Nike and H&M Sport. Of course it depends on the weather and in summer time I prefer shorts, like some pictures above from Nike too. A good sports bra is a must, just like the shoes! Oh and my shoes are sooo very old (but still comfy) that I really have to get me some new ones. I will have a closer look on Defshop, where you can get great stuff from Nike.
