I have realized once more that about 25% of all my clothes are plain basic shirts and tops – preferably in black, grey and white. Today I tried to change that fact and I wanted to buy new shirts and blouses – with prints, bright colors or maybe something chic for going out. But that was one big fail, because I ended up with three new basic shirts, haha. Whenever I find a basic shirt with a good cut and nice fabric I like to buy two or even more of the same. And since I am always looking for something better and nicer, I kind of hoard basic shirts in my closet already. It’s my absolute must-have, I simply love to wear them daily, because you can combine them in so many different ways and they’re always comfy. Anyway, I came up with the idea to share some of my favorite shirts plus some internet finds. Hope you enjoy it 🙂
Tank Top with V-Neck – Above I am wearing a new Tank Top from Zara (click here!) which is available in four colors right now. Underneath I am wearing a nude lace bra from Monki, because I like that you can only see a little bit of the lace. There are too many possible combinations with this top, so style it however you like: from hight waist jeans to shorts or skirt. And if you dare to and have a nice breast you can also wear it without a bra. Of course adding some nice jewelry is always a good idea for dressing up a plain top. (Similar tank top at ASOS – here!)
T-Shirt with V-Neck – I have way too much of v-neck t-shirts, but this is the first one made out of linen and it comes from Zara as well (here!). It is a bit see-trough, so it’s cool to wear a pretty bra underneath. I like to wear black lace bras mostly, but sometimes nude or bright colors can be nice as well. Shopbop has some really nice t-shirts, also ASOS‘ selection is very good as well.
Tank Top with wide armholes – This top is quite old and from Cheap Monday, but right now there are so many similar shirts available almost everywhere! I love tops with wide armholes so much right now, because you can show some skin but not too much.
Do you remember my ASAP Rocky top, where I just cut off the sleeves? It’s a super easy DIY and you can bring old t-shirts to new life 😉
Check out ASOS‘ selection for more! (Cheap Moday here / Tommy Hilfiger here / ASOS here)
Oversized T-Shirt – This one is from H&M, I bought it some time ago (but still available here) in grey, black and white, each twice. This is really my favorite t-shirt, because of the cut and the rolled up sleeves. I’m sure you saw it quite often on the blog 🙂 It goes well with anything and every style. (You can find something similar here, here and here!)
