It’s all in the details: Such a great combination of leather and tweed!

Last week I was in Paris again to join Louis Vuitton’s Press Days, that took place in the showroom of their new headquarter. It was an exclusive preview of Nicolas Ghesquière’s first Pre-Fall collection for the french fashion house and I am happy to share with you some of my personal favorites and some of the keypieces…

This collection is totally amazing. Like always, you can find so much love for details in every single piece and also the 1970’s vibe runs through the whole collection like a golden thread. I love the impact of the 70’s but also that this Pre-Fall collection is similar to the previous collections, that where all designed by new Creative Director Nicolas Ghesquière. He remains true to his style and continues to focus on a slim silhouette, knee-lenght skirts and dresses and a-line. It’s great to see how he interprets styles like bondage or lingerie from previous collections in a new way how properly he is mixing different materials like patent leather, tweed, lace, velvet and leather. It’s all about strong contrasts and a cool color palette: Lots of blue, black and different shades of brown. All in all it’s such a great, sophisticated and feminine collection, perfect from head to toe.
